How to Export Designs from Canva

1

Click Share → Download

Open your design and click 'Share' in the top right, then 'Download'. You'll see format options and quality settings.

2

Choose the right format

PNG: best for web graphics with transparency. JPG: smaller file size for photos. PDF (Standard): digital documents. PDF (Print): high-resolution with bleed marks. SVG: scalable vector (Pro only). MP4: video and animated designs.

3

Adjust quality settings

For PNG: toggle transparent background on/off. For PDF (Print): enable crop marks and bleed. For all formats: choose quality level (affects file size). Select specific pages if you don't need all of them.

4

Download or share

Click 'Download' to save to your device. Alternatively, use 'Share' to get a view link, embed code, or publish directly to social media.

Pro tips

  • *

Use PNG for anything with text or sharp edges (logos, social graphics). Use JPG for photo-heavy designs where file size matters

  • *

For print materials, always use 'PDF Print' — it includes CMYK colors and proper resolution (300 DPI)

  • *

Download animated designs as GIF (short loops) or MP4 (longer videos with sound)
