2

Import VS Code settings

On first launch, Cursor offers to import your VS Code extensions, themes, keybindings, and settings. Click 'Import' to bring everything over — the transition is seamless.

3

Sign in and choose a plan

Create a Cursor account or sign in. You can start with the free Hobby plan (2,000 completions/month) or upgrade to Pro ($20/month) for unlimited completions.

Open a project and start coding

Open a folder or clone a repo. Cursor automatically indexes your codebase for AI context. Start typing to see AI suggestions, or press Cmd+L to open the chat panel.
